SPLH (Sales Per Labor Hour)
Net sales divided by hours worked — the cleanest read on whether a shift was staffed right.
Sales per labor hour divides net sales for a period by the labor hours worked in it, giving a single figure that is comparable across days, dayparts and locations in a way that raw labor cost is not. It answers the question a labor-cost percentage hides: were the people who were on actually busy? Track it by daypart rather than by day, because a strong dinner routinely masks an overstaffed afternoon.
