Labor Cost Percentage
Total labor spend as a share of sales over a given period.
Labor cost percentage is total labor (wages, plus often taxes and benefits) divided by sales for the same period. It's half of prime cost and a key gauge of scheduling efficiency against demand. Opero's command center reports labor cost alongside sales by location so owners can compare staffing to revenue, though Opero does not yet include a staff clock-in feature.
