Customer-Facing Display (CFD)
A second screen at the register that shows the guest their order and total as the cashier rings it.
A customer-facing display is a second screen at the counter, pointed at the guest, that mirrors the register so they see each item, tax and the total before they pay, and usually asks for a tip. In Opero it is a second Android tablet paired in Devices to one POS terminal: it shows your splash image between orders, greets the guest by name once the cashier types it, mirrors the cart with tax and any card processing fee, then offers your tip presets or no tip once the order is sent. The card is still tapped on the location's reader, bought from Opero, not on the display; there is no custom tip amount or signature capture.
