Reorder Point
The on-hand level at which an ingredient should be reordered so it arrives before you run out.
A reorder point is the stock level that triggers a new order: when on-hand drops to it, there is just enough left to cover demand until the next delivery. It sits below the par level, which is the amount you want on the shelf after the delivery lands. In Opero, each ingredient carries a per-location par and reorder point; the Purchasing tab lists what has dropped to its reorder point, grouped by default vendor, with a suggested quantity back up to par, and that list becomes a draft purchase order. The suggestion is the gap between on-hand and par, nothing more: Opero does not forecast demand.
