SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
A unique code identifying a purchasable inventory item.
A SKU is a unique identifier for an item you buy and stock: a specific size and brand of an ingredient or supply. SKUs let you track quantity on hand, costs, and reorder points distinctly. Opero's inventory ties inventory items to recipes so that selling a dish draws down the underlying ingredients, keeping counts and costs current.
