PLU (Price Look-Up)
A short code used at the register to quickly ring up a menu item.
A PLU is a quick code mapped to a menu item or product so staff can ring it up fast without scrolling a long list. Where SKUs track what you purchase, PLUs speed up what you sell. In Opero, menu items carry their identifiers across every ordering surface, so a dish behaves consistently whether it's rung at the POS or ordered via QR.
