DoorDash Drive integration
Dispatch a Dasher for your own delivery orders — a flat, commission-free delivery fee.
Dispatch a Dasher for your own delivery orders from the POS with DoorDash Drive — quote, dispatch, and track for a flat, commission-free fee. Growth plan and up.
DoorDash Drive lets you hand your own delivery orders to a Dasher on demand — the customer is yours, the order is yours, and you pay a flat per-delivery fee instead of a marketplace commission. In Opero, a "Dispatch a Dasher" action appears on delivery orders, so your staff can quote a fee and ETA, send a driver, and track the drop-off without leaving the POS.
This is first-party delivery: someone orders directly from you — over the phone, at the counter, or through your own online ordering — and you use DoorDash's courier network to get it there. You are not listing on the DoorDash marketplace and you are not paying a percentage of the ticket.
How DoorDash Drive works in Opero
- ✓Quote: on a delivery order, Opero previews the delivery fee and estimated time from DoorDash Drive before you commit — no charge to look.
- ✓Dispatch: send the order to DoorDash and a Dasher is hailed for pickup at your location.
- ✓Track: the order carries a live tracking link and status updates land back in Opero as the Dasher picks up and delivers.
- ✓Cancel: you can cancel before pickup if plans change.
DoorDash Drive charges a flat delivery fee per order, not a percentage of the ticket. Because the customer ordered directly from you, there is no marketplace commission — you keep the full order value minus the flat courier fee.
DoorDash Drive vs. DoorDash Marketplace
These are two different things, and it is worth being clear about which one Opero connects to today:
- ✓DoorDash Drive (live in Opero): you dispatch a Dasher for orders your customers placed with you directly, for a flat fee. This is what this integration does.
- ✓DoorDash Marketplace (coming soon): receiving orders that customers place inside the DoorDash app, flowing into your POS and kitchen. That inbound marketplace connection — along with Uber Eats — is on the roadmap, not live yet.
Which plan includes it
DoorDash Drive dispatch is included on the Growth plan and up. It works on delivery orders that have a valid drop-off address and phone number, with a pickup phone set on the location.
DoorDash Drive is one piece of how delivery works in Opero.
Explore delivery in OperoFrequently asked questions
- Is DoorDash Drive the same as being on the DoorDash app?
- No. DoorDash Drive dispatches a courier for orders your customers place directly with you. Receiving orders from the DoorDash marketplace app is a separate, inbound connection that is coming soon — not the same thing.
- Do I pay a commission on DoorDash Drive orders?
- No. DoorDash Drive charges a flat delivery fee per order rather than a percentage of the ticket. Because the customer ordered from you directly, there is no marketplace commission.
- Can I see the fee before I dispatch?
- Yes. Opero shows a quote — the delivery fee and estimated time — before you send the order, so nothing is charged just to check.
- What do I need for a delivery to dispatch?
- A valid drop-off address and phone number on the order, and a pickup phone number set on the location. Opero uses those to hail and route the Dasher.
- What plan includes DoorDash Drive?
- It is included on the Growth plan and up. There is no separate subscription for the dispatch feature — you pay DoorDash's flat per-delivery fee at dispatch.
