Interchange-Plus Pricing

A processing model that passes through the card network's cost and adds a stated markup on top.

Interchange-plus (also called cost-plus) quotes processing as the card network's own interchange fee plus a separate, stated processor markup, rather than blending everything into one rate. Because the two halves are itemised, you can see what the networks took and what your processor took. It is generally the most transparent model to audit, and it is the one most operators are advised to ask for when comparing quotes. Compare it against your own statements using your effective rate rather than a headline number.
